[origin: WO0223090A1] The invention relates to a fireplace, comprising a filling chamber (11) which can be filled with combustion material through a filling opening (6); and a combustion chamber (12) which is connected to said filling chamber by a feed opening (10). Primary air delivery openings (20, 21) which are vertically offset, upwards from the feed opening (10), open into the filling chamber (11). The filling chamber (11) comprises a conveying means (7) enabling the combustion material to be conveyed from the filling opening (6) into the combustion chamber (12) and at least some of the primary air delivery openings (20, 21) open into the filling chamber (11) in such a way that the partial stream of primary air that is delivered passes through the combustion material into the combustion chamber (12).
