Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0226299A1] The invention relates to a dosing device (D), activated by the inspired air flow (S) of the user, for the output of a reproducible partial amount (1') of powder (1), in particular a medicament powder, for inhalation by the user, from a reservoir (2). Said partial amount (1') in a dosing chamber (16), comprising a dosing chamber floor (34) and a dosing chamber wall (35), is firstly brought to an output ready position manually and then transfer of said partial amount (1') into the inspired air flow (S) is activated by means of a sucking which exceeds a threshold value. According to the invention the partial amount may be activated in a functionally secure manner without the influence of external air, whereby a method controlled by the inspired air for a partial region of the dosing chamber (16) is provided, in which the partial amount (1') is exposed to the inspired air during the course of the inspiration, exceeding the threshold value.
