[origin: WO0225098A1] According to the invention, a control plunger (9) is provided for a control valve (8) of fuel injectors (1) for internal combustion engines. Said control plunger is provided with a support plunger (25), which is guided in an axially displaceable manner inside the control plunger (9), in order to achieve a pressure compensation in an opened and closed state and in both stroke directions. The support plunger forms a spool valve, which is located inside the connection of two channel ports, in order to configure the control valve (8) as a three/two-way directional control valve.
