[origin: EP1321170A1] The fire extinguishing system consists of a pipe (1) connected to a water supply. Short lengths of pipe (1a) are joined by T-junctions (2) with side arms into which valve bodies (3) are fitted. Each valve body has a cup held in place by two rods (29,30) and adapted to hold an ampoule in place. When the fluid in the ampoule boils and bursts the ampoule, a stopper is released, allowing water to flow from the spray nozzle.
