The muscle stretching apparatus (1) comprises a fixed frame (3), supports (9a,9b) for the lower members of the user and a portico structure (7) pivoted on the frame. The supports are pivoted relative to the portico by means of first and second pivots (19a,19b) perpendicular to the portico pivoting direction. The portico is pivoted to the frame around third and fourth pivots (23a,23b) and has a central bar (17a,17b) which carries the first and second pivots.

Il s'agit d'un appareil d'étirement musculaire (1) comprenant - un bâti fixe (3), des moyens d'appui (9a, 9b), pour l'appui des membres inférieurs de l'utilisateur, une structure en portique (7) montée pivotante par rapport au bâti, lesdits moyens d'appui étant montés eux-mêmes pivotants par rapport à la structure en portique par l'intermédiaire de premier et de second pivots (19a, 19b) sensiblement perpendiculaires à la direction générale de pivotement de la structure en portique. Selon l'invention, la structure en portique s'étend, sensiblement parallèlement à ladite direction générale, jusqu'au-delà des moyens d'appui pour les membres inférieurs, au moins lorsqu'ils sont en position relative resserrée, cette structure en portique étant montée pivotante par rapport au bâti autour de troisième et de quatrième pivots (23a, 23b) coaxiaux par rapport à ladite direction générale, de part et d'autre des premier et second pivots, et la structure en portique présente au moins une barre centrale (17a, 17b) qui porte les premier et second pivots. Des capteurs musculaires peuvent être prévus. <IMAGE>
