[origin: EP1321171A2] The muscle stretching apparatus (1) comprises a fixed frame (3), supports (9a,9b) for the lower members of the user and a portico structure (7) pivoted on the frame. The supports are pivoted relative to the portico by means of first and second pivots (19a,19b) perpendicular to the portico pivoting direction. The portico is pivoted to the frame around third and fourth pivots (23a,23b) and has a central bar (17a,17b) which carries the first and second pivots.
