[origin: EP1321424A1] The bearing structure has at least one lattice-work element (2, 2', 2), which is made in one piece in the form of a flat, unmolded cut plate. At least one hole in it may be produced by a cutting process. The lattice element may form a bearing wall, a transverse frame or an end frame. There may be two bearing walls at the side of a step or pallet strip of the escalator.
