Abstract (en)

A hydrolysis cell for the conversion of kinetic energy into chemical energy is proposed. It is characterised in that the electrical current (18) for the cleavage process is provided via the rotation of at least one disc (9,10) in a strong, substantially constant magnetic field (17) oriented substantially parallel to the rotational axis (5) of said disc (9,10). Thus a very simple and effective conversion is provided which e.g. allows the levelling of fluctuations in available kinetic energy in windmill power systems. <IMAGE>
