Awning comprises an extendable profile (3) fixed to the awning material (2) which is wound on a shaft (1). When completely or partly extended the awning material can be raised by a support construction to form a roof shape, especially a saddle roof shape, having at least one front and one rear surface. Rainwater flowing off the front surface flows toward the retractable profile and rainwater flowing off the rear surface flows toward the awning holder. <??>Preferred Features: The uppermost part of the support construction is a ridge bar (12) arranged parallel to the retractable profile and lying over the awning material. The ridge bar can be raised by extendable awning arms (4) on whose outer ends the retractable profile is fixed.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Markise mit einem Ausfahrprofil, an dem das Markisentuch fest ist, das von einer Tuchwelle aufwickelbar ist. Das Markisentuch ist im vollständig oder teilweise ausgefahrenen Zustand durch eine Stützkonstruktion anhebbar, die das Markisentuch zu einer Dachform insbesondere zu einer Satteldachform anhebt, mit mindestens einer Vorder- und einer Rückfläche. Das von der Vorderfläche abfließende Regenwasser fließt zum Ausfahrprofil und das von der Rückfläche abfließende Regenwasser fließt zur Markisenhalterung. <IMAGE>
