[origin: EP1321608A1] The key (10) has a sliding shank (14) that is deployed lengthwise from a housing (12) by the force of a spring (22) with its end acting directly on the shank. The shank is held in the retracted position inside the housing by a locking mechanism (54, 58) against the effort of the spring, which is located in a cavity separated by a partition from the one containing the shank. The end of the spring has a radial projection that is attached to the key shank.
