Flat pipe heat exchanger comprises at least one collecting tube (211) and a number of flat pipe elements (209) connected to the collecting tube. Each flat pipe element has at least one torsion region. Two adjacently arranged flat pipe elements are joined together in a form-locking manner. <??>An Independent claim is also included for a process for manufacturing flat pipe elements for the above flat pipe heat exchanger. Preferred Features: Each flat pipe element has two torsion regions. Each torsion region is arranged adjacent to one of the collecting tubes.
