Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1323526A1] Sheet-fed rotary printing machine comprises a three-drum turning device (26) consisting of three transfer cylinders arranged in a row between the printing cylinders of two adjacent printing groups. The turning device consists of a transfer cylinder (27) and a storage drum (28) that are twice the size of or larger than the printing cylinders, and at least one turning drum (29) that is the same size as the printing cylinders. The transfer cylinder has an outer contour (35) that is smaller than the circular periphery (42) determined by grippers (40). The turning drum has an outer contour (46) that is smaller than the circular periphery (47) determined by grippers (43). <??>An Independent claim is also included for a process for transporting a sheet using a three-drum turning device in odd and in odd and even page printing.
