[origin: EP1323819A1] Aqueous surfactant preparations with reduced oxidizing power contain: <??>(A) amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactants; and <??>(B) thio-salts containing at least one sulfur-sulfur bond. <??>Independent claims are also included for: <??>(1) a method for reducing the oxidizing power of (A), involving addition of 0.01-1 wt.% (B) to (A); and <??>(2) the use of (B) for reducing the oxidizing power of (A).
