Abstract (en)
A yarn is crimped by feeding the yarn in a channel of a compaction chamber to impart a uniform yarn crimping; and pre-setting the crimped yarn by passing the yarn into a pre-setting and guiding chamber defining a passage for the yarn. A pre-setting fluid is fed in the passage to pre-set the crimping of the yarn and to guide the yarn's progress through and out from the passage. Crimping of yarn involves feeding the yarn (4) in a channel of a compaction chamber to impart a uniform yarn crimping; and pre-setting the crimped yarn (6) by passing the yarn into a pre-setting and guiding chamber defining a passage for passing the crimped yarn. The passage has a cross section greater than that of the channel of the compaction chamber to define a free space between at least one side of the crimped yarn and an adjacent wall of the passage. A pre-setting fluid is fed into the passage of the chamber to pre-set the crimping of the yarn and to act on the side of the yarn to guide the yarn's progress through and out from the passage. An Independent claim is also included for a device for crimping yarn comprising a compaction chamber (1) defining a channel and driving rollers (2), and a pre-setting and guiding chamber (5) defining a passage connected to an outlet of the channel.

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé et un dispositif de frisage de fils. Procédé caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste essentiellement à faire passer les fils (4) dans une première zone de compactage d'une boîte à friser, pour l'obtention d'une frisure régulière (6), puis à réaliser, dans une deuxième zone (5), un préfixage de la frisure régulière (6) obtenue, ainsi qu'un guidage de cette dernière, jusqu'à la sortie de la boîte à friser, par l'intermédiaire du fluide de préfixage. L'invention est plus particulièrement applicable dans le domaine de l'industrie textile, en particulier du traitement de fils par frisage. <IMAGE>
