Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1326485A2] The voltage adapter has an inverter with at least one switch and a drive circuit for alternately opening and closing the switch(es). The drive circuit is designed to control the switch or switches alternately with at least two different frequencies. The drive circuit changes between the different frequencies using a changeover frequency selected so that intensities correlated with the drive frequencies cannot be resolved with the human eye. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a method of operating an inventive device.
