Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0228482A1] The invention relates to a protective harness (10), especially a personal protective harness or climbing harness, in which a lumbar part (1) and the leg parts (2, 2') are interlinked via means for interlinking (3, 3', 4) the same. The lumbar part (1) and the leg parts (2, 2') consist of a padded element (5, 5', 6) and edge straps (7, 7', 8), said edge straps bordering the padded element and at the same time constituting the supporting elements of the harness. The padding consists of a breathable material so that the harness is air-permeable and comfortable to wear. The padding has an excellent transversal rigidity and is not covered by any supporting belts or a supporting tissue. The inventive protective harness is used as a protective harness for riggers, roofers, scaffolders and window cleaners, but also as a protective harness used in mountaineering, especially as a climbing harness or rescue harness.
