Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2815568A1] The injector, comprising a distributor (8) with a passage (11) and an injection nozzle (7) for delivering a liquid thermoplastic material into a mould cavity (2), has a sliding cut-out needle (21) and guides (36, 38) with an annular groove (43) between inner (41) and outer (42) peripheral faces. The groove is offset lengthwise relative to the distributor passage so that its temperature is reduced by the ambient air and the viscosity of the injected thermoplastic material inside it is raised to a level where it stops flowing and forms a seal.
