[origin: WO0233194A1] The invention relates to a blind, especially for covering a glass pane of a window. The blind has a winding rod (4) from which a wound-up hanging (5) can be wound down. In order to be able to use the blind for slanted and horizontal windows, two belts (2) are provided at the sides of the hanging (5), each of said belts turning about two end rollers (1). The winding rod is turned (4) synchronously with the turning movement of the belts (2). The front end of the hanging (5) is fixed to each of the two belts (2) at the side. Since the diameter of the wound hanging on the winding rod (4) gradually changes as the blind rolls down, a length compensation means is provided.
