[origin: EP1327719A1] The arch (2) for reserving a parking space has its two ends connected to a base (1) by hinges (4) with bearings (5), and it is raised or lowered by an electric drive (6) and two gas cylinders (7). The gas cylinders are located symmetrically on either side of the electric drive, to which they are connected by articulated arms (11); their other ends are linked to levers (8) on the arch's in-turned horizontal ends.
