The force-transmitting connection between the actuating shaft lever (12) and the mobile switching contact (8) or the contact support (7) is provided in the form of a latching device (13) and comprises two identical levers (14; 15), which can pivot in relation to one another around an articulated joint (16) and which are joined to one another by means of said articulated joint (16) that is formed by a joint pin (23) guided through aligned continuous borings (21; 22) provided in concentric parts (19; 20) of the levers (14; 15). The contact surfaces of the levers have slanted surfaces (17; 18) that serve as a tooth. In the vicinity of the articulated joint (16), the levers (14; 15) are subjected to the action of an adjustable spring force, which is exerted by a pressure spring (24) and which acts upon the tooth.
