Pump/nozzle unit comprises a pump part, a nozzle part, an actuator (5), and a hydraulic coupling device (38) located downstream of the actuator and via which a valve needle (24) of a 2/2-way valve within a nozzle body (23) is operated. The actuator has a piezo crystal arrangement (7) acting on the hydraulic coupling device and impinging on an end face (40) of the valve needle which is adjusted into a first position (41) allowing a pressure increase. A further position of the valve needle allowing opening of a nozzle needle (29) is independently adjusted. Preferred Features: The hydraulic coupling device changes in the nozzle body into a needle guide (44) guiding the valve needle.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Pumpe-Düse-Einheit (1) zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in den Brennraum einer selbstzündenden Verbrennungskraftmaschine. Die Pumpe-Düse-Einheit (1) (PDE) umfasst ein Pumpenteil (2) und einen Düsenteil (3) sowie einen Steller (5), dem ein hydraulischer Koppler (38, 39) nachgeschaltet ist. Über diesen ist eine Ventilnadel (24) innerhalb eines Düsenkörpers (23) betätigbar. Der Steller (5) umfaßt eine auf den hydraulischen Koppler (38, 39) einwirkende Piezokristall-Anordnung (7). Der hydraulische Koppler (38, 39) beaufschlagt die Stirnseite (40) der Ventilnadel (24)derart, daß diese in eine einen Druckaufbau (52) ermöglichende erste Position (41) stellbar ist, wobei eine das Öffnen der Düsennadel (29) ermöglichende weitere Position (43) der Ventilnadel (24) getrennt einstellbar ist. <IMAGE>
