Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0233231A1] The invention relates to an exhaust treatment unit with a catalyst arrangement, comprising a storage catalyst (1, 10), for the reduction of nitrogen oxides and an introduction device (2), for the introduction of a reducing agent on the input side of the storage catalyst (1), during a regeneration phase. According to the invention, at least part of the exhaust stream leaving the storage catalyst (1) may be recycled, whereby a recycle line (3) is provided, in which an exhaust supply pump (4) can be arranged. The exhaust recycling to the storage catalyst (1), during the regeneration phase, reduces the oxygen content of the exhaust gas and makes possible a reduction in the amount of added reducing agent, such as fuel.
