[origin: WO0235083A1] A fuel injection valve (1) for the fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, comprising a valve seat body (5) having a valve seat surface (6) which cooperates with a spherical or partially spherical valve closing body (4) associated with a valve seat, and a sleeve-type valve needle (3) which is connected to the valve closing body (4) on a connection line (43) and whose inner volume (42) is connected to spiral channels (36) embodied inside the valve closing body (4) which subsequently produce a swirl downstream from the sealing seat with a tangential portion. The spiral channels (36) are inserted into the valve closing body (4) as slots (44). The connection line (43) of the valve closing body (4) with the sleeve-like valve needle intersects the slots (44) in such a way that the inlet (36a) of the spiral channels (36) is disposed inside the sleeve-like valve needle (3) and the outlet (36b) of the spiral channels (36) is arranged outside the sleeve-type valve needle (3).
