Abstract (en)
Variable valve lift control for an internal combustion engine comprises a camshaft (1), a first pivoting lever (2) in contact with the camshaft, and a second pivoting lever (4) for contact with a valve (5). The first and the second levers are coupled via a transmission element (3) moving in two degrees of freedom. The first degree of freedom allows movement to scan the camshaft and the second degree of freedom allows positioning of the transmission element to adjust the transmission ratio of the lever movements. An Independent claim is also included for a process for variable control of valve lifts of an internal combustion engine. Preferred Features: The transmission element is displaced along at least one of the levers to adjust the transmission ratio. The transmission element is connected to the gas pedal.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Ventilhubsteuerung mit variabel einstellbarem Ventilhub. Dabei überträgt die Nockenwelle (1) ihre Bewegung auf einen ersten Hebel (2), welcher diese über ein Übertragungsglied (3) an einen zweiten schwenkbeweglichen Hebel (4) weiterleitet, der schließlich das Ventil (5) betätigt. Das Übertragungsglied (3) kann in horizontaler Richtung insbesondere durch Betätigung eines Gaspedals verschoben werden. Die Kontaktpunkte des Übertragungsgliedes (3) mit dem ersten Hebel (2) und dem zweiten Hebel (4) sind daher positionsveränderlich, was aufgrund der geometrischen Verhältnisse zu einer steuerbaren Veränderung des am zweiten Hebel (4) beobachteten Ventilhubes führt. <IMAGE>
