Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1331654A2] The device has a drive for moving a contact unit with a contact force spring tensioned when the contact unit changes from the off to the on position. The drive has an energy storage device and a controller for maintaining it in a charged state and arbitrarily releasing it. The controller has an arrangement for successively releasing at least two storage device storage units during a transition from the off to the on position. The power switch has a drive for moving a contact unit (43) with a contact force spring (45) that is tensioned when the contact unit changes from the off to the on position. The drive has an energy storage device and a controller for maintaining it in a charged state and for arbitrarily releasing it. The energy storage device has at least two storage units (35,36) and the controller has an arrangement for successively releasing the storage units during a transition from the off to the on position.
