[origin: WO0234475A1] The invention relates to a wear-resistant sealing ring that has excellent sealing properties against leakages of lubricants from the transmission chamber of the machine tool and against penetration of dust into the transmission room. Said sealing ring comprises a plurality of sealing lips (6, 7) that rest against a striker (3) in the machine tool. The sealing ring is provided with one or more radially extending recesses (8, 9) at least on its lateral flank facing the machine, thereby providing the sealing lips (6, 7) with excellent flexibility. The sealing lips can thus easily follow the movements of the striker (3), thereby rendering the sealing ring (4) less susceptible to wear and providing it with excellent sealing properties.
