Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0238412A1] The invention relates to a vehicle, especially a multipurpose vehicle, provided with a rear luggage compartment (12) with a floor board (13), an additional folding seat (15) arranged inside said luggage compartment (12) and consisting of a swiveling seat and seat back (21), whereby the rear sides of the additional seat (15) when folded and not in use form a flat loading surface (23) covering the floor board (13). A cover module(25) is inserted into the floor board (13) in order to provide a footrest for passengers (16) sitting in the additional seat (15) in an opposite direction to the direction in which the vehicle is travelling. Said footrest consists of a flat, self-supporting plate (251) with a narrow strip-like limb (252) disposed at a tangent to the longitudinal side of the plate. The plate (251) is supported on the edge side thereof (13) at a distance from base of the floor board and the limb (252) extends in a vertical manner as far as or close to the front edge of the seating part of the additional seat (15).
