Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0238884A1] A reinforcing mat (1) for reinforced concrete, consisting of longitudinal and transversal wires (2, 5) which intersect each other at right angles and are welded at the intersection points thereof. The reinforcing mat respectively comprises two longitudinal edge wires (3, 4) and two transversal wire end parts which protrude from the longitudinal edge wires and are bent back in relation thereto in the form of a loop on the plane of the mat in addition to being welded thereto. The longitudinal wires arranged in the center area (Z) of the reinforcing mat have the same mutual axial distances (a) and the same cross-sectional surfaces (F). The reinforcing mat has edge areas (R) on both longitudinal sides, said edge areas consisting of a pair of parallel longitudinal edge wires having a mutual axial distance (c) which is smaller than the axial distance of the longitudinal wires in the center area of the reinforcing mat and the axial distance (b) of the inner longitudinal wires from the adjacent longitudinal wire of the center area is greater than the axial distance of the longitudinal wires in the center area of the reinforcing mat, in addition to consisting of edge loops (7). .
