[origin: EP1332773A1] The control method uses a fire detection device (2) with one or more fire detectors (4) having different sensors for detecting fire parameters, compared with preset alarm thresholds for providing an alarm indication, used for triggering the fire extinguishing devices (1). Selected sensors are switched to an increased sensitivity after triggering the fire extinguishing devices, the selected sensors matched to the progression of the fire.
