Abstract (en)
Device for the vertical continuous casting of steel slabs from molten steel, is arranged between the copper mold and the refractory riser. The device incorporates an assembly of elongated bars having a specific configuration. A device for the vertical continuous casting of slabs from molten steel incorporates a refractory junction element, arranged between the copper mold and the refractory riser. The device is made of an assembly of a plurality of elongated elements, known as bars (1) presenting: (a) a ratio h.l cubed/L cubed of less than 0.5, and preferably of less than 0.35, where h, l and L are the dimensions of the bar; (b) a machining (4) on each of its two lateral faces (5), situated at the side in contact with the liquid steel (3). Two of these machinings are positioned in a contiguous manner in the assembly to form a groove (6) also situated on the side in contact with the liquid steel.

La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif pour la coulée continue en charge verticale d'un acier en fusion sous forme de brames, comportant un élément de jonction en réfractaire, disposé entre la lingotière en cuivre et la rehausse en réfractaire, constitué d'un assemblage d'une pluralité d'éléments allongés, appelés barreaux (1) présentant : un rapport h.I<3>/L<3> inférieur à 0,5, et de préférence inférieur à 0,35, où h, l et L sont les dimensions du barreau ; un usinage (4) sur chacune de ses deux faces latérales (5), situé du côté au contact de l'acier liquide (3), deux de ces usinages situés sur des barreaux (1) positionnés de façon contiguë dans ledit assemblage coopérant pour former une gorge (6) également située du côté au contact de l'acier liquide (3). <IMAGE>
