[origin: EP1332834A1] The invention relates to a cutting disk (1), especially one with a diameter larger than 500 mm, that is laterally provided with steel sheets or steel grids (2) with a strength of between 0.5 mm and 0.3 mm, preferably of between 1.0 mm and 2.0 mm. Said steel sheets or steel grids (2) are flush mounted in recesses (3) in the lateral faces of the cutting disk (1).
