[origin: EP1332997A1] The web (2) is cut in an intermediate layer between a first web section (36) and at least one additional second web section (37). At least part of the first section is next to the second section and the separation is carried out at an acute angle or parallel to the web feed direction (11). Independent claims are also included for (a) the disposal device, comprising a separation device (28) used to make a length direction cut in the intermediate section of the web and (b) an embossing machine with at least one of the disposal devices located after the embossing nip (6).
