Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10204285C1] To coat the surface of a moving web (1) with glue, the glue is sprayed (3) on to the web surface, and then it passes directly through a wide nip (10) of the web drying section (2,11) in a papermaking machine. The wide nip is formed by a press unit (5), between a hard roller (6) and a rotating mantle (7). The web is preferably moist, for better glue absorption.
