Abstract (en)
A method for fitting metal cladding to a wall or roof has wooden battens attached to the surface and has the edges of the sheets with interlocking lipped profiles. Each sheet has a flat centre section, to fit between the battens, and one edge shaped over one batten to interlock with the next sheet, while the other edge interlocks with the previous sheet at one side of the previous batten. The interlocking joins between the sheets slope away from the edges of the battens. Securing brackets can be fitted to the tops of the battens with hooked ends to grip into the joints between sheets.

L'invention concerne une couverture de toit ou de façade comprenant des tasseaux (1) en bois et des panneaux de couverture (2) composés d'une partie centrale (5) et de deux parties de bord (6,7). Une première partie de bord (6) couvre un tasseau (1) et possède un flanc (10) extérieur s'étendant vers le bas dont le bord (11) forme une rainure d'engagement (12). La deuxième partie de bord (7) comprend un flanc (13) s'étendant vers le haut à côté d'un deuxième tasseau (1), et comprend un bord (14) formant une rainure (15). Des pattes d'accrochage (16) fixées aux tasseaux (1) possèdent une extrémité repliée (20) engageant une extrémité du bord replié (14) de la deuxième partie de bord (7) d'un panneau (2) adjacent. La rainure (12) de la première partie de bord (6) engage les extrémités repliées (20) des pattes d'accrochage (16). <IMAGE>
