[origin: EP1333453A2] The rotary magnet includes a yoke (11) with an exciting winding (13). A pair of pole shoes (12) is arranged opposite each other and a rotor (14) is provided between the pole shoes. The rotor includes limbs (141,142), arranged opposite each other whose outer surfaces (14a) have in sections the same contour (15) as the pole shoe surface (121) and form an air gap (17) with the pole shoe surface. The radial width of the air gap is reduced with increased angle of rotation.
