Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0240274A1] The invention relates to a marking device, comprising a pump (2), a marking liquid container (6) for holding a marking liquid (8) and a marking head (12). A first line (4) through which the pressurised air of the pump (2) can be pumped into the marking liquid container (6) is located between the pump (2) and said marking liquid container (6). A second line (10), through which the marking liquid (8) can be pumped from the marking liquid container (6) to the marking head (12) is also provided. A surveillance device (22, 24) for measuring the pressure and for comparing the pressure measurement with a predetermined limit pressure value is provided in said second line (10). Were a hole or similar to appear in the second line (10), the falling of the pressure measurement below the limit pressure value would be detected by the surveillance device (22, 24) and the marking liquid container (6) would be deaerated. The deaeration of the marking liquid container (6) causes to the pressure inside said marking liquid container (6) to decrease. This ensures that no more marking liquid (8), which would otherwise leak out through the hole, is pumped into the second line (10). The invention also relates to an extrusion system with a marking device of this type.
