[origin: WO0240288A1] The invention relates to ink jet printing material (1) comprising base paper (2) and an ink-receiving layer (3). The ability to receive dye inks and pigment inks in an abrasion-resistant, sharp-contoured precise manner is increased by the fact that the ink-receiving layer (3) applied in the form of an aqueous solution contains pigments, binding agents, ink fixing agents and at least one inorganic salt with a bivalent cation and an anion exhibiting a substantially pH-neutral behavior.
