[origin: WO0240804A1] The invention relates to a device for draining flat roofs, balconies, terraces or other flat buildings, comprising an inflow body provided with a collared edge. When the inflow body is mounted, said body lies on the surface of the roof. A loose flange can be introduced into the inflow body, also comprising a collared edge. A connector film can be tensed between the collared edge of the inflow body and the loose flange for establishing a tight connection of a covering layer between said two elements. The invention is characterised in that in order to absorb abnormally large amounts of rain, the inflow body (2) is provided with a cavity (6), into which two drain pipes (7) and (8) lead in such a way that drain pipe (7) and the drain pipe (8) co-operate with a pressure or a free-flowing drainage system.
