[origin: WO0240895A1] The invention relates to a ball screw comprising a spindle and a nut (13), which encircles the same and which is provided with a mounting flange (14), and comprising balls (4) located between the spindle and the nut. Said balls are arranged along a helical line-shaped path and are supported on raceways in a manner that permits them to roll away. Said raceways are formed by a threaded groove located on the outer surface of the spindle and by a corresponding threaded groove located on the inner surface of the nut (13). The nut (13) is provided with continuous openings that are interconnected by at least one pipe elbow-shaped diverting piece (15), which extends on the outside of the nut (13) and which is provided for returning the balls (4) from one end of the path to the beginning thereof. According to the invention, the nut (13) and the mounting flange (14) are provided as two pieces, and the diverting piece (15) is arranged inside a recess (20) of the mounting flange (14) while being radially held therein.
