Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0227762A1] The invention relates to a dielectric-barrier discharge lamp, comprising a lamp cap (2), an elongated discharge receptacle (1) and strip-type external electrodes (5a-5f). Said lamp has a corresponding contact spring (7a-7f) for each external electrode. The contact springs are located inside the lamp cap. The latter also comprises a lamp cap casing (6), which surrounds one end of the discharge receptacle (1) in such a way that the strip-type external electrode (5a-5f) or each of said electrodes is in electrically conductive contact with the or one corresponding contact spring (7a-7f). The transversal dimension of the individual contact springs is preferably less than or equal to the width of the corresponding strip-type external electrode, at least in the region of the establishment of contact. This construction unites a simple assembly of the lamp cap with a reliable establishment of contact and excellent lamp efficiency.
