Clamping device comprises holding elements (11, 14) moving relative to each other and having removably-attached clamping jaws (15, 18). At least one of the clamping jaws is attached to the associated holding element by a dovetail connection (21, 23) with wedge-shaped side walls, especially with an interlocking wedge angle. Preferred Features: The insertion and removal direction of the dovetail connection runs perpendicular to the clamping direction of the clamping jaw. The clamping jaws are attached to both holding elements by a dovetail connection and the insertion directions for the clamping jaws run in opposite directions.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spannvorrichtung, insbesondere Schraubstock, mit zum Spannen eines Werkzeugs oder Werkstücks relativ zueinander verfahrbaren Halteorganen (11, 14), an denen je eine Spannbacke (15, 18) lösbar angebracht ist. Um eine Spannvorrichtung zu schaffen, bei der sich die Spannbacken (15, 18) einfach und damit schnell auswechseln lassen, ist die erfindungsgemäße Spannvorrichtung dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß wenigstens eine der Spannbacken (15, 18) mittels einer Schwalbenschwanzverbindung (21, 23; 22, 24) mit keilförmig zueinander verlaufenden Seitenwangen (25, 26; 27, 28) an dem zugehörigen Halteorgan (15, 18) angebracht ist. <IMAGE>
