[origin: EP1334803A2] Clamping device comprises holding elements (11, 14) moving relative to each other and having removably-attached clamping jaws (15, 18). At least one of the clamping jaws is attached to the associated holding element by a dovetail connection (21, 23) with wedge-shaped side walls, especially with an interlocking wedge angle. Preferred Features: The insertion and removal direction of the dovetail connection runs perpendicular to the clamping direction of the clamping jaw. The clamping jaws are attached to both holding elements by a dovetail connection and the insertion directions for the clamping jaws run in opposite directions.
