[origin: EP1335091A1] The closer (10), for the automatic closing of an open swing door or window, has two interconnected bellows (30,32) behind each other, at least partially filled with an incompressible fluid which can flow between them in both directions. A fluid flow damper (90) is between the two bellows. The door/window return unit (24), which is tensed on opening, acts on the bellows so that the first bellows (30) are stretched from their rest position and the second bellows (32) are compressed from their rest setting to give them the actions of drawing and compression springs. Return forces are applied to the two bellows, to return them to their rest positions, augmented by at least one energy store (144) acting on at least one bellows.
