Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10055334A1] The device has an adjustment unit (6) that is in torsion with a cam-shaft (2) connected inner section (4) with a at least one pressure chamber (22a) in the adjustment unit and at least pressure chamber guided hydraulic channel (80, 82) being radially or axially adjustable. The rotation angle bearing of the cam-shaft can be altered in relation to the drive-wheel, whilst there is a locking element (66) in the adjustment unit that is catchable with the inner section. The locking element is arranged with the pressure chamber guided hydraulic channel and is first released in an unlocked position. The adjustment unit may have a carriage wheel (12) that is divided around the circumference into mounts (14a to 14c) and from which angular-movable mounts or vanes (8a to 8c) of the inner section may be divided in two pressure chambers (22a to 22c) and (24a to 24c).
