Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2815422A1] The individual visual display system includes a micro-screen (9) and an optical lens system projecting an image in front of the eye. A further lens then focuses this image at infinity to be viewed in a relaxed way at the eye. The individual visual display system for an image displayed on a micro-screen (9) comprises a projection system (7) to transform the image display on the micro-screen into an aerial image (6) at a short distance from the eye. The projection system comprises a field lens (10) and a projection lens (8). The micro-screen may be a liquid crystal display with a step size of 10 - 20 micrometers and VGA, SVGA or XVGA format. A lens (5) is then provided relatively close to the eye in order to transform the aerial image (6) into an infinity image. The light is then focused by the pupil of the eye (1b) on to the retina.
