[origin: WO0243187A1] Disclosed is a connector for multi-lead data and/or telecommunication cables (10), comprising a screening housing. The housing consists of an upper housing shell (20) and a lower housing shell (48). The lower housing shell (48) comprises a contact carrier (58) which is provided with connector contacts (60) for the connection and insulation piercing contacts (62). The upper housing shell (20) comprises a loading element (26) wherein the leads of the cable (10) are inserted. When the housing shells (20, 48) are assembled, the insulation piercing contacts (62) come into contact with the cable lead (10) disposed in the loading element (26).
