Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0243190A1] An actuator for controlling fittings has an explosion-protected housing and a pressure-tight separating wall with sealed bushings for electric lines between the inside of the housing and an outer terminal compartment. Electrical connections with connection terminals for supply lines are located in said outer terminal compartment. A support part (7) which forms the separating wall (6) is provided for the connection terminals (10) and is connected to pin-like extensions (11). Said pin-like extensions penetrate the separating wall (6) and plug-in contact elements (12) are provided at the inner end of said pin-like extensions (11), for contacting with mating plug-in contact elements (13). At the same time, the separating wall (6) forms the support part (7) for the connection terminals (10), which are directly connected to the inner plug-in contact elements (12) by the pin-like extensions (11). This configuration forms a compact connection unit and simplifies assembly considerably. For servicing purposes, it is possible to change complete units quickly by re-plugging, hereby avoiding complicated disconnection and connection of the lines.
