Abstract (en)
The rewinding mechanism uses temperature changes to effect the rewinding and has a platinum or titanium bar with a very high coefficient of temperature expansion which on expansion or contraction operates a gear train through a pivoting plate which has a tooth to engage with the first wheel. The gear train is similar to that employed by rewinding mechanisms which employ user movement and inertia drives
