Abstract (en)

The flat cable (1) is made up of multiple rectangular section conductors (2) embedded in an insulating material (1a,1b) to form a flat ribbon cable. Sloping transverse grooves in the insulation, regularly distributed along the length of the cable, allow the cable to fold, so that it can be twisted into a zigzag.
