Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0239872A1] The invention relates to an insert (1) comprising compartments (4, 5, 6) which are separated from each other by dividing walls (7, 8). At least two compartments (4, 5; 5, 6) comprise bottoms (4', 5'; 5', 6') which are arranged at various levels, for adjusting the position of different pieces of cutlery (2, 3) and/or small crockery. The inventive insert provides an essentially improved drying performance for the pieces of cutlery (2, 3) and/or small crockery placed in the insert, compared to known solutions. Said pieces of cutlery (2, 3) and/or small crockery can be placed in the compartments (4, 5, 6) having associated bottoms (4', 5', 6'), at a level which is adapted according to their respective length/width/shape, in such a way that they stand on the bottom of the compartment and no longer need to be suspended. This simple, but effective measure improves the run-off of drops of rinsing liquid, which would otherwise result in unwanted marks during the drying process. The need to hang especially small pieces in a cover, which causes the cited drop run-off problem, is eliminated by the insert compartments (4, 5, 6) comprising bottoms arranged at various levels (4', 5', 6').
